18V LXT® Brushless Pruning Shear, Tool Only

The 18V LXT® Pruning Shear (XPU01) combines commercial-grade cutting performance, advanced cutting control, and exceptional runtime in a lightweight pruning shear compatible with the expansive 18V LXT® system. The Pruning Shear delivers up to 2,400 cuts per charge when cutting 5/8" branches with an 18V LXT® 2.0Ah battery (battery not included). It features four blade adjustments of 3/8", 11/16", 1", and 1-3/16" which optimizes cutting speed and productivity based on branch size. The XPU01 features cutting depth adjustment which allows users to fine tune cutting performance for repetitive pruning applications, which contributes to improved efficiency. The Pruning Shear features built-in motor sensing technology that monitors the cutting load, while the trigger provides precise blade actuation and cutting control. Convenience features include an L.E.D. display that provides battery status, low battery warning, overload warning, and high temperature alerts for improved tool monitoring. It also features an external oil port that allows quick blade lubrication without blade disassembly for easier maintenance and reduced downtime. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls™. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
