The Makita 36V (18V X2) LXT® Brushless 1/2" Right Angle Drill combines Makita's expertise in brushless motor technology and battery innovation to deliver maximum cordless performance. Powered by two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion batteries (sold separately), this drill is engineered to handle the most demanding applications, such as drilling up to 6-1/4” holes with hole saws. Its electronically-controlled BL™ Brushless motor intelligently matches torque and RPM to the application's changing demands, offering no-load drilling speeds of 0-350 RPM and 0-1,400 RPM. This is further enhanced by Automatic Speed Change™ technology, which adjusts speed and torque under load for optimum efficiency. The XAD03 ensures maximum productivity with an electric brake and features a built-in clutch (low speed only) to reduce gear damage by disengaging if the bit binds. Being part of the world's largest 18V Lithium-Ion system, it allows users to stay on one battery platform, benefiting from the fastest charging times and the built-in protection of Star Protection Computer Controls™ against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.
