The efficient Makita Outer Rotor BL™ Brushless Motor with direct drive system delivers high power, while a variable speed motor with a 16” guide bar achieves 0-3,940 FPM for increased cutting speed. Convenience and productivity features include tool-less chain adjustments, a front hand guard that actuates the chain brake, and an electric brake. As part of Makita’s extensive 18V LXT® system, the tool is protected by Star Protection Computer Controls™, which monitors and guards the tool and battery (sold separately) against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating.
