The 900 Hardsurface Electrode iis a general-purpose, low-hydrogen, high-strength hardfacing electrode for high-stress steel. It is designed to resist severe abrasion and considerable impact, with a weld deposit capable of resisting a variety of wear types. The Rockwell hardness range is 55-58, depending on the base metal's carbon content. Applications for build-up and hardfacing include tractor rolls, cranes, bucket teeth, plowshares, drill bits, and gears. Use AC or DC straight polarity for the highest buildups.
