This mix combines several types of cover crops to provide a variety of benefits to the soil. Containing 50% winter rye, 40% forage radish, and two types of clover (10%), this mix is effective in many different scenarios. With the strong root systems of winter rye, the nitrogen-fixing power of clover and the deep taproots of the radishes, this mix combats soil compaction and adds nutrients back into your soil.
- Plant in early spring for weed suppression and a quick source of organic matter or in the fall for a strong winter cover
- Plant seed 0.5" to 0.75" deep
- The mix consists of: 50% Winter/Cereal Rye, 40% Groundhog Brand Radish, 5% Crimson Clover, 5% Yellow Blossom Sweet Clover
