It ensures protection during power outages with a battery backup, which remains fresh until installation thanks to a pre-included battery pull tab, making installation and battery replacement easy to add protection in minutes. Furthermore, the unit interconnects with most First Alert and BRK hardwired alarms, ensuring that when one sounds, all compatible alarms activate (up to 12 smoke and 6 other CO/heat alarms). A dust cover is also provided to keep the alarm clean during construction.
