The Z3® Ultimate Flap Disc is a high-performance, 4-1/2 inch diameter disc with a 7/8 inch center hole, designed as a Type 27/Depressed Center Flat Disc. It features a coarse, 60-grit grade with Z3® Zirconia Alumina abrasive and a Poly/Cotton backing, supporting a maximum speed rating of 13,300 RPM. A unique XTRA Material coating allows the material to spread out, reducing heat generation for easier breakdown compared to other discs. The Z3® Ultimate Flap Discs offer extra width—25% more than regular flap discs—and a unique flap design structure that provides a cushion-like impact for more controlled stock removal and consistent finishing. The disc is contaminant-free and is suitable for use with an angle grinder on applicable materials, including non-ferrous metal, plastic, and wood.
