It has been said, "nothing fails like success." In other words, when a challenge in life is met by a response that is equal to it, you have success. But when that challenge moves higher, the old, once successful response no longer works - it fails. Thus, nothing fails like success. We should not be discouraged when a solution that once worked now fails. This is what spurs us to continue pursuing solutions for the challenges we face. What about Sprituality? Are we pursuing growth in our walk with God or growing stagnant? 2 Peter 1:5-8 gives us a spritual growth track and a call to action: "5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." The need for sprititual growth is not a failure, it may be that God is simply calling us to add more to our faith. If we feel God calling us to add more to our faith, then may we respond like James 4:8 says, "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you..."
