A major attractant and food source for the monarch butterfly. A herbaceous bush with willow-like leaves and clusters of small, star-shaped flowers. The bright orange flowers bloom in June and July and the foliage turns gold in the fall. Drought tolerant and deer resistant.
Instructions:
Prefers an area with full sun and well-draining soil. Plant in the fall in warmer climates and late spring in cooler zones. Extremely drought tolerant once plant is established. Does not require fertilization.
