This well known variety with bright reddish-orange flesh, has thick, strong shoulders and then tapers down to a thinner base. Produces heavy yields of 5-7" long roots, making it a great choice for heavier soils.
Instructions:
Prefers full sun but can tolerate some shade. Will grow best in deep loose, well-drained soil. Sow directly into the garden rather than starting indoors and transplanting. When thinning, cut plants instead of pulling them out or it may damage root systems of adjacent plants. When carrots have reached maturity, gently pull them up by the tops.
