Specifications
Type SE style U is designed for above-ground service entrance use, as well as interior wiring. The cable meets the requirements of UL. Also available in 1000 ft reels. Conductor Compact stranded [AA-8000] series aluminum alloy. Insulation Black cross-linked polyethylene [XLPE]. Identification Insulated conductors are phase identified. One insulated conductor has a single longitudinal red strip. One insulated conductor is black. Construction The bare conductor strands are helically wound about the two paralleled insulated conductors. A glass-reinforced tape is applied over the conductors. A polyvinyl chloride [PVC] jacket is extruded over the sub-assembly. The jacket is flame retardant and sunlight resistant. Stranding insulated conductor 7 strands, bare conductor 12 strands.
