Features
About- Waltham Butternut is a delicious squash suitable for baking and pies, with an orange flesh that's sweet and nutty. Maturing early and storing well, it's an easy and prolific squash to grow. Its creamy brown skin turns golden tan when ripe and it has a solid neck and small seed cavity for added convenience. When and Where to Plant- Plant in late spring or mid-summer in full sun. Prefers well-fertilized, rich soil that is well-drained. Care and Harvest- Harvest winter squash near the end of the growing season before the first frost. The skin should be tougher to pierce with your nail.
