Specifications
Precision helical inserts are available in both locking and free-running varieties. Most of these inserts are available in up to 5 different lengths. The standard material for these inserts is 304 stainless steel, but they are also available in several other materials. These materials include Phosphor-Bronze, Inconel X750, Nitronic 60 and 316 stainless steel. These inserts can also be plated or coated in Dry-Film Lube, Silver, Cadmium or a Primer-Free coating. Our inserts are DFARS compliant and conform to military or aerospace specifications when applicable.
- Only standard drill and tap required
- Can be used in most materials...aluminium, magnesium, cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel and plastic
- Simple installation compared to helical wire inserts
- Nearly impossible for the insert to turn after installation
- Nearly impossible to cross thread while installing
- Adhesive not required to hold insert in place
- Rarely affected by hot or cold temperatures because it is held in place mechanically
- Easy to remove
