When using a tow-behind spreader, there is the constant need to reach back to turn the spreader on and off. In those moments, standard tow-behind spreaders drop seed, fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, causing waste, uneven application, or burned grass. With the Chapin 8620B tow-behind spreader and its auto-stop dual impeller, that need to reach back is gone. The spreader automatically opens the gate when it starts moving and closes when its stopped. It hooks up to a standard hitch on an ATV, UTV, or lawn tractor.

It’s equipped to handle tough terrain around your farm, field, and acreage with the 2.2 cubic feet capacity weather-resistant hopper and the powder-coated steel frame. There are 11 incremental gate adjustments to dial in the mix that fits the application. The spiked auger and baffle help with even spread control.

**This tow spreader is not recommended with sand, sand mixes, lime, and pelletized lime mixes.
