The setscrew on these twist-on wire connectors tightens down on conductors to create a tight bond, prevent wire pull out and eliminate the need to strip the insulation again for maintenance or inspections. They provide splices in applications that move or vibrate, such as those located near motors and inside HVAC ducts. Stripped conductors fit into the mechanical connector where a setscrew compresses and splices them. Next, an outer shell is threaded around the mechanical connector to protect and insulate the connection.
