There’s something special about sitting around a crackling campfire with family and friends. As the embers glow and the night settles in, the screens disappear, and the stories begin. We share memories, laugh until our sides hurt, and connect on a deeper level. In those moments, we are reminded that telling stories was also one of Jesus’s favorite things to do. Instead of delivering rigid, academic lectures, He usually pulled people close and shared stories or parables. He used familiar things like seeds, lost sheep, and prodigal sons to reveal the very heart of God.  Jesus knew that facts inform us, but stories transform us. They allow us to apply God’s truth into everyday life examples. The next time you gather around a fire, remember that it is a great time to encourage one another and spread God’s testimony in your life. 1 Thes. 5:11 says, “Therefore comfort each other and edify one another...” and thank God for the warmth of His presence. - Leandro Dueck, Special Projects Coordinator
